PPL,

I have a kenwood Z919 HU. it plays great but I'm having a small problem, It won't play this years DB Drag CD or last years CD but it will play the cd from 2 seasons ago. Everytime I inscert cd 10, it seems like it can't find the file. I tried the cd on my regular cd player and it works fine, so I'm lost here..advice please.

Some cd players have a problem with certain types of cds. i had a Pioneer deck about 5 years back that worked great on all kinds of cds sept the thicker ones. ended up getting rid of it cause it pissed me off. but it is something to do with the way the drive is designed inside some cds just wont mesh with it. probably dbdrag used a new type of cd this year and it is a different thickness than most cds.

Even if you burn it will it really make a difference cuz they still make you use an official copy at shows.

unless you got a label maker and made it look exactly like dbJams 10 and were a cheater!!! But you wouldn't do a thing like that, lol.

The burned copy might not be as loud though if you lose some quality, but I can't imagine it being that much.

The new format that Wayne chooses to have the cd's copied in is a dual format cd. Most cd players get confused and just don't know which file to read.

Get yourself a kenwood direct link changer and your problem goes away!

I own 4 kenwoods, none of them play the disc.....only the changer!
