i am helping a friend look for a cd player.. she was looking at a pioneer 4400 at Best Try for $199. i told her for $30 more she could get a 7400. then i am seeing that the 740mp is aobut $250. we went to a stereo shop and were looking at some clarions. she like the DXZ725 and the DXZ825. i can find the DXZ725 for $200 online. i am thinking she should get something that plays mp3s. the rockford fosgate RFX9000 is about $230. but it is somewhat weak on the power. only 2v preouts and 13 watts.
are there any other decks i should look for? i am trying to find 4 volt pre outs, possible mp3, and useful features. she likes dolphins, and colorful displays too. right now the top choices i think are the clarion dxz725 and the pioneer 740mp.

you can get the clarion dxz825 for like a little over 207 + shipping on ebay... heres a link to it... this is the HU that i would get if i had that much to spend. so if that gives you a clue. i have the pioneer 1 1/2 din deh-p77dh and it is a little ugly but it preforms very well. so i'd go for the clarion dxz825 it should sound fantastic. Just Recently I bought a Alpine 7845 for 200$ it's got 4V Preouts, It's very simple looking and is easy to use, it has functions that are useful for a SPL competition unlike some other HU's that companies manufacture.
