If you like the deck but want more voltage, just buy a linedriver. That would be a MUCH cheaper upgrade than a new deck(given that you like the deck you have already). RWAudio.com does custom linedrivers, and many in dash eqs have built in line drivers(audiocontrol and eclipse...among others).

well i heard that 2volts will cause less clipping then 4v

What? You set the gain on the amp to match the voltage. A deck with 4 volt outs will allow you to lower the gain on your amp. If you had the gains adjusted for a 2 volt deck, then swapped it out for a 4 volt deck and didn't adjust the gains, you could have problems, but I can't believe anybody would say take a 2 volt deck over a 4 volt deck(given they are solid ratings). Again, buying a linedriver will be a much less expensive route to getting more voltage. You don't have to buy a new deck.

well in my car i could actually get more voltage out of my amp witha 2v deck then i could wiht my 4 volt deck. i lost spl even after turning the amp down to a none clipping.

I guess getting more out of your amp with a 2 volt deck than if you use a 4 volt deck just isn't making much sense to me unless you are using an amp that just can't handle 4 volts at all(don't think that would be an issue). Whatever works for your system though, I say go for it.
