I sold my car last week (those of you who know me from the chat room have probably got a pic of it), and the guy who bought it wanted the Eclipse indash TV with a Panasonic DVD Player. I installed everything and finished it up. Sounded awesome!!! One thing was wrong though.....I couldn't put the gear selector back into park!!! The TV was in the way!!! hehehehe Well I found a way you can put it in park, by pushing the monitor back towards the dash a little, but it is close! I just told the guy to have the gear selector cut shorter....hehehe

I just wanted to know if any other installers had little mishaps like this and what they did about them!!

I have a boss that swears by putting cel phone antennas on the front windows of cars. When I first started doing those I would forget to check for clearence for the wiper blades. I had like 4 come back after the first big rain.

On kindof the same note as the original topic...a friend of mine has a '96 mitsubishi Eclipse and has the factory double din radio and cd player. When you have the car in 1st, 3rd or 5th gear, you can't eject or insert cd's. The engineer who designed that ought to be shot. If they would have put the cd player in the top din position all would have been ok. Oh well, just had to rant about bad engineering...it seems it is everywhere.

One time I was putting some stickers on a Jeeep Wrangler and forgot to measure the wipers and in a week the wipers had wiped away the 10$ sticker!

Can you just flip flop the units? It shouldn't prove to be too difficult.
