okay, this may be long
friend of mine comes into work today, with one of his mtx thunder 3000 woofers he got off a friend of his for free... he brings it to me, i turn it over, look in the magnet vent, see something shiny.. like a piece of thick (roughly 16awg) wire, like a clothes hanger... so i grab a tiny screwdriver and tried to pull it out, well, i get the end of it, and start to pull... when the screwdriver gets ****ed to the side of the magnet.. **dink dink dink... rattle rattle**
the wire is now INSIDE the speaker.. heh, all i could tell him was, keep in mind you got it for free... lol

so after a bit, im like... do you have any superglue, hes like.. uhm.. oh god, yeah... why? so i start to cut the dustcap off of the speaker to get this thing out, maybe not the best idea ive ever had, but hey.. the vent was about as big around as a pencil, 1 in a million chance of getting it out that way..
so im cuttin away, and just for the heck of it, i start banging it on the desk, one last ditch effort...**dink dink dinnnnnnng** out of the vent, and onto the floor the wire goes.. hahahahaha he was almost pissed at me for destroying his brand new sub, hahahaha

like i said, is that part of MTXs asymetrical linear drive???
wire included for free!
lol
it assists the speaker in keeping the voice coil intact. more wire=better, right!?!?
