I saved up all year long to save for the equipment I felt would be best in my application. In June I traded equipment for amplifer 1. Early July I purchased amplifier # 2 directly through the manufacturer. It was received and tested imeediately to only put out 400 watts and sat in protection. I contacted the manufacturer and sent it in for repair. They had it for nearly 1 month and sent it back to me in the same non working state as before. I contacted them and sent it back in. It has been 3 weeks since they received the amp and I called for status. There was a slight disagreement with the manufacturer as they claimed I lied about the state of the amp. 2 hours later I received a phone call from them apologizing and stating that they fixed the amp, it did have a defect and they would ship it out tomorrow. I saved all year for the subs I wanted and ordered them in mid August. They were shipped out by the manufacturer August 30 via Fed Ex (the devil) and received by the local Fed Ex facility Sept 3. The driver claimed he attempted delivery to my home 3 times and that the 4th time I didn't have the money order available. Fed Ex contacted the manufacturer and I received a concerned call from them. I assured the manufacturer that I purchased the money orders Sept 2 and that the driver never attempted deliivery as I work 3rd shift, am home all day, slept on the couch everyday waiting for the delivery, and have 2 yappy dogs that alert me to people walking by on the sidewalk. lol I called Fed Ex and they called me a liar. I told them to deliver the subs ASAP, The following day, Sept 8th by this time, the driver shows up with one package. I asked about the other and he said it was lost, but then said maybe it just wasn't loaded and he would deliver it the following day. He took the money order and assured me he would be back the following day. He never returned and I called Fed Ex only to be told I was a liar and that the driver assured them he never delivered a package and he never received the money order. I got the issue escalated to another department, filed a complaint and they said they would deliver the other sub on Sept 10 as I was leaving for vacation that night at 8pm. Well, they never showed so I arranged for my sister in law to stay at the house all week while I was gone. Fed Ex never called or attempted delivery. I returned Sept 19 and called Fed Ex again. I through enough of a fit that I finally got someone worth a D@%&! She found the package in a Utah overflow facility because that is were all the packages are sent when the box has no labels. She turned the driver in to his manager who still claimed he never received payment. Sept 21 I get a call from Debbie at Fed Ex and she says the driver turned in the payment and that my sub would be sent to me by the 22nd. 9:05am est on the 22nd Fed Ex arrives with a HUGE box andm I ask them to stay while I open it. The driver claims there is no time and that the package is in excellent condition. I open the box only to find that inside is the original box from the manufacturer, upside down, and beat to hell. I open the box only to find the sub with it's motor up and the mounting ring cracked and the spokes were the same. The surround was shredded and sub is ruined. I call Debbie and she arranges a pickup on te 23rd. I contact the manufacturer and they begin building a new driver which is to be sent via Fed Ex overnight express Friday. Will this nightmare ever end?
Moral of the story is, Fed Ex is the devil and if you ever want something lost or broke, ship through them.
Shame on @# for their terrible customer service. I have never been treated or talked to so badly when I was the PAYING customer. Especially after years of running their product and supporting them by helping others with their amps. I have always loved their equipment and never had a problem until this season. I appreciate their appology, but I won't say anymore until I receive the amp and see what condition it is in.
I would like to thank George Wu and his wife for their great support and patience through the whole ordeal with Fed Ex. They have tried to make things as easy on me as possible through this whole thing. This is why I support Atomic.
Finally, I would like to thank Rusty Flowers, aka Dr. Who, owner of Sound Solutionz in Sparks, Nevada for his wonderful support this season. He has gone out of his way to help me this season with my amplifier situation. I hope that in time I can repay the favor.
Well, that's my horror story so far this year. Hopefully Finals will be different!

Well good luck! If I didn't get creamed by a deer this summer, maybe I'd have a chance at finals?

I sure hope so. Figured this year I would plan all of the bad stuff weeks before finals instead of days before. That is the importance of having a schedule and sticking to it. lol

Ok - to clarify, what she is reffering to is the fact that Mike has had a "master plan" to ensure that this year moves along smoothly - so as not to affect the family (kit kat is family as well) but as Murphy's Law typically happens - everything that could go wrong - did. not to metion the TRIP to finals last year. The plan was for the caravan of Team LiveWire to leave and arrive promptly. - A few new tires later (LOVE YA ERIC ) and we finally did. So to summarize - Kit Kat meant no harm - no foul

A brief update: I have 2 working 12's, 2 working amps and 1 that I just got back from EQ and still need to test. Time is going fast and work is going slow. I had planned to be testing today, but now it won't be until the weekend.
I would like to extend my sincerist "THANK YOU" to Iggy and 1LOWSUV for all their help as well as those mentioned in my post above. My wife and daughters also get an honorable mention because the Neon has required alot of time and work to get it ready for Finals and they have given me all the time I can handle. Unfortunately I am out of vacation time. lol
