Well today was actually starting off pretty good, until about 3:30 this afternoon. On a 2 way street, which was backed up due to a train, a cadillac decided to move into oncoming traffic...TOWARDS ME!. I cut my wheel to the right to avoid becoming a permanent part of the cadillac and ended up broadsiding a Honda, took the mirror off and caused a few little dents (less than 500.00 damage estimated). My car, however, has a broken passenger door mirror, the window won't roll up all the way, and a big skuff mark going down the side of the car. But this is not the best part.....

It seems that on 5-8-03 my license was suspended for failure to pay a non moving violation (loud stereo). I paid this ticket on 5-1-03 and had proof. The person that I paid my ticket to, at the traffic violation bureau didn't say that I had to pay a reinstatement fee of 25.00 at the DMV. So I have been driving on a suspended license since then without knowing.

Now, not only is my insurance going to go up, I have to pay 2 81.00 tickets (careless driving and suspended without knowledge), get my car fixed (no biggie really), reinstate my license for 25.00 and pay another amount for getting a duplicate since my license was "captured". I also may have the option to attend driver improvement school (I hope I haven't used up that option, supposed to be only 2 in a lifetime)
How can it get worse? (dont answer that)

the good news is you can get the dwlr
Driving while license revoked/suspended
you can get that dismissed.
either yourself in court or a lawyer
a lawyer may also get the careless and reckless dismissed asswell .aslong as your insurance pays for the damage.

well, I was and did drive right... hehe. Right as far a driving, and right into another car. Could have been worse, lik ebecoming a permanent part of the caddy that was heading for me.
Sux having to work on Fathers day, and sorry to hear about the tranny.

yea, I might be able to get that dismissed, but without witnesses on ther careless driving, I'd be fighting a losing battle. There were witnesses, but they scattered when the accident happened.

Oh boy.. let's see, grounded for life? When my dad caught me smokin (cigarettes), I had to sit down and smoke a carton of camel non filter, one right after the other. I was turning blue by the time I got done. This happened a little over 20 years ago, and I have been hooked since. Hopefully your dad can stop you from getting to addicted before it is too late. But sorry to hear that you got caught, that really bites.

If you got good lawyers like here than could prob get it dissmissed wether your guilty or not.most judges just care weather or not the other party is paid or not. theres a difference between
found not guilty and have the case dissmissed.
but my advice id dtill talk to a lawyer

good luck

I've had my 2000 ranger for about a month now. My 4/5 drop kit came in on Wednesday. I did the rear end Friday the 4th in 3 1/2 hours flat. I was happy. Saturday I drove an hour away to my friend's house because he has a shop with REAL tools, and because I didn't know anything about control arm suspension and he does. We got to work at 8:45 saturday morning, didn't finish until 4:45. Thats just the front end. And he knows what he's doing, he does bags, drops, paint, shaving, etc. at that shop. It was just a bitch to do. All that time I was working nonstop, didn't have a thing to eat or drink. I was just ready to come back home and go eat Mexican food and drink a hundred Cokes. Well as soon as I pull out his driveway I hear an extremely loud squealing noise coming from my front in. I whip around back to his house and ask him what was up. He showed me that it was just because of my camber.. it was actually positive. Only the very outside part of my tires were touching the ground. I knew I would have bad camber, but I didn't know it would be that bad. This was saturday afternoon so there was nothing I could do but try to make it home and park it at a shop. So I did, and I drove 25 MPH for about 2 hours. Thats roughly 50 miles I covered when my two front tires went flat. I could do nothing but park it on the side of the highway. Oh yeah, this whole time I was trying to call my girlfriend and my parents and tell them to come meet me halfway or something. But first I could get absolutely no service and then my battery died. So I'm on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere waiting and waiting and waiting. It was getting dark, and thank God about an hour later I saw my dad on the other side of the hiway, and he saw me. If it weren't for him getting worried about me, I don't know what I would have done. So now my truck is on the side of the highway, and I can do nothing except let these crazy stories of what could be happening to it run around my head. Monday I have to meet a tow truck out there, take it to a shop, go buy some new tires, get the new tires mounted, and try to get my mechanic to align it and get the camber perfect. That will all be an extra 400 bucks I hadn't planned on spending.
