Is there a relatively easy way to get a remote start and kill set up on an extreme vehicle that has limited access to dash wiring and such? I would like to do away with the key cylinder on the steering column to smooth thngs out. I cant do much about the shifter being on the column but I would like to start somewhere. Unless someone has an idea on that too.

That makes it a bit difficult, you need access to the column and a spot to tap the tach wire at a minimum to get a remote start on there. The PB starter can easily be done at the same time.

I know that I need to be able to start and kill it from the podium but my problem is getting to the wiring and such in the vehicle to make this possible.

Greg, if you can get to the main ignition wire and starter wire that is all you really need to power up. I can talk you through setting this up in your podium

greg ur gonna have to gut it out and get into the main harness also if you need any help i can help you
scott is right, pink is ignition, white is ignition also and yellow is starter, red is constant what year is your blazer??

He may be able to access it under the hood in the main harness. Shouldnt be any need to power up the 2nd ignition wire for what he wants to do.

He can get the Tach from the injector wire if he cant do that he will still find the tach under the hood somwhere on 1 of the other plugs.

see that big thick pink wire? The pink is your ignition and there will also big a yellow wire of about the same thickness in there, it is the starter wire.

starter wire im sure you can, if there is a fuse box under the hood, that may help,
look for the starter relay, and maybe a big fuse that is powered by the ignition being turned on
sorry i havent been on the forum lately just be lucky its not newer with security built into the ignition system,
the white second ignition, or it may be pink with a white stripe, if not powered up may or may not need to be powered, for a normal remote started, yes if im thinking correctly if not powered it may do something like put the transmission into limp mode.
