i have an old viper 300 it has two remotes one with green light and one with red light.the one with red light don't work with the alarm.is there a difference between the two or how do i program it to work?

they are two different frequencies. the red is the older of the pair. basically that system is code learning.

Green remotes are reverse compatible. They will work red and green alarms to a point. Some of the old school alarms will not work with new remotes.
