I need some info on what module I'd need to bypass the anti-theft on a 05 GTO . I want to install a remote start for my father but I cant seem to find any info on what system it has . Someone told me I could use a 555L but I'm not sure .

Just get an extra key cut, and use that one. Yes, it is a transponder key though.

How would you program it ? I've done it with Ford PATS keys . I put the first 2 keys in the ignition and then the uncut one and remote start the car .

The new GTO's do not have "on board" programming. You will need to go to the dealer to get an extra key programmed. Trust me, I know I am a locksmith for 26 years now. I am not sure what computer is required to program the key, it may be the tech2 maching, but my books say "special dealer equipemnt" required.
As for the concern of using a "cut" key, just break the metal portion of the key off, and use the head (top) of the key only.
