I have a Viper 791XV on my 88 Monte and it has never auto started since its been installed the guys at Best buy who did this Alarm said I had to program the RPM I attempted to do this and still no auto start, the guy who installed this alarm wasn't very good..I would have done the install myself but didn't have time but I have already found myself redoing various parts of this install...

you should take it back to them, you have paid 500 for it and it needs to work!
Another idea is call DEI and tell whatever you need to to get tech support i.e. you work for them or something.

You could try and program it to voltage.

with the crappy install they did I don't want them to touch my car again...then the sad part of it is they couldn't even get it right with none of the interior installed(no carpet, no dash, no seats).......and if that isn't bad enough the car already had an alarm(Clifford Melinnia) on it...

I think I found the prob..the guy didn't make the netrual saftey switch connection, is this required for the auto start to work?

this is kinda off topic but I had a DEI back-up battery installed on the..isn't the alarm supposed to sound when I unhook the battery under the hood?

The neutral safety wire MUST be grounded for the 791 to enter remote start mode.
