I own a 2003 subaru impreza wrx sedan and a question i have is does subaru put any type of transponder in the car? is there any type of factory starter immobilizers in the car? The reason I ask is I am installing a remote start alarm (clifford avantGuard 4) and want to know if anyone else has had problems installing remote starts in the past. any info would help. thanks.

P.s. I will have a complete walk-through of the install posted on the internet when I am done.

No transponder that I know of. One thing on these cars is if it has a factory alrm it is a pain in the a$$ to get around. There is no factory disarm wire you will have interupt the alarm brain with a relay. The brain is usually next to the radio Sorry can't remember exact pin out location.
