For a project in one of my Electrical Eng. Classes I designed a setup that would connect to an just about any alarm that was similar. It acted like an electric fence. it created a false ground so it would shock people when they grabed or touched the door handles or diamond plate box on my truck. It could have been attached to several things but the problem is they had to be isolated from the trucks electrical ground. After completing it I used it for a few months and decided to take it off because of the thoughts of a child or such getting hurt, that and the lawsuit that would follow. After a few encounters with the set-up none of my friends would touch it when it was armed and needless to say I have never had a problem with people messing with my truck.

Just thought this might be interesting seeing the subject title.

Several people around here did too, but if I'm not mistaken there is a law against them. I have heard of a few companies that use to produce setups like that but dont know if they are still around. Another intersting thing would be that the old moonshiners in my area use to wire the magneto(kinda like and alt for older cars) to there wheels and where the hid the moonshine and it would shock the living crap out of you. It basically stored a charge after you turned off the motor till something was touched.
