Do any of the installers here use some method of keeping track of colour codes? I mean when doing alarms, do you track any changes made to a wire being extended with different wire? Do you make notes on manufacturer's colour codes? Do you map the system on paper, showing where the taps are, and locations of sensors etc..? Would you share colour code information on new vehicles you work on?

well you can get alot of usefull info on wire colors from www.designtech-intl.com or www.mobiletoys.com or if you need some real hard core info ...drop me a line and i'll do some digging.....but for the most part just doing alarms and remote starts over and over all the time you just get a feel for what wires do what and where they are located....but DON'T FORGET TO USE YOUR DMM OR COMPUTER and AIR BAG SAFE TEST LIGHT
