on my old car 79 VW rabbit, instead of wiring up the horn to just honk, I wired it up to come on and stay on for the full alarm cycle. you can't mistake a hooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. i always new it was my car.

well i never had any of those problems... 1) it's not gonna drain your battery being on for 30 seconds...... 2) try using a relay capable of that much current (which isn't much) 3) a used horn at a junk yard here is 2-3 bucks, (I never blew one) but isn't 2-3 bucks once in awhile worth it if it saves your 5000 dollar stereo??? just my 2 cents
