Installing a stereo for most is not much of a problem, but for a busy, and budding installer, it can and does take it's toll.
I would suggest the following as preventative measures.

- Before starting an install, do some strecthing and bending excersises for 2-3 minutes.
- During the install, pay attention to your posture, and get as comfortable position as possible (even if it's just for 5 seconds, and it's just within reach).
-Take breaks away from the vehicle, and some more stretching. (this allows you time to reflect objectivly, at what you've done and what there is left to do.)
-Don't be in a hurry, accidents happen more frequently that way.

and unplug your battery!! hell my first stereo i installed me and my friend completely drained the battery in the car and had to recharge it.
