as it turns out i really, really hate rubberized undercoat and pretty much any asphalt based product. talk about a pain in the ass. anyways, i need to fiber glass my entire trunk floor, to seal it (small leaks along seams). i'll be using the tire well as part of an enclosure (for a possible 1600+watts). i also bought a butt load of the roofing sealer from homedepot (blue rubber material with thick tar like stuff on it, looks alot like b-quiet) so here's my questions.
-how many layers would be good and solid for the tire well.
-how many layer's would give me a good, strong addition to the rest of the floor, for sealing/semi-deadening purposes (i was thinking two layers of fiberglass cloth)
-for the tire well, should i do it all in fiberglass cloth, or mix and match with fiberglass woven mat and/or fleece material, ect..
-where should i put the rubber sounddeadener (i hope it deaden's ). before the fiberglass, in between the layers of the fiberglass, or on top of the fiberglass. specify for both the tire well, and the rest of the floor (seeing as the tire well will be inside a enclosure)
-how many layers of this rubber stuff should i be trying to use in each location (tire well/rest of the floor)
-how warm should it be for fiberglassing (outside temp.)

For best results you should weld all those seams in your trunk for strength. You don't want your equipment falling out through the bottom while your cruising.

now that would definently suck the big one.
unfortunalty that's the one tool i don't have. you'd think a pyro would own some form of welding torch, but nope, my biggest flame is a little brazing torch. i'm probably gonna lay down some more tin sheeting over the seams and pop-rivit them down.
check my website in my sig, you can kinda see the tin in the tire well, and i'll have more pics up later tonight of some of my gear and a bunch more of my car.
