Say you're installing a large super-woofer,like a solox 18 or btl 18...is there a certain amount of space you should have between the magnet and back of the box????

if i remember right the generall rule of thumb was try to keep the same distance as the sub is large. like for an 18 sub keep 18" away from the back of the box. i would suggest emailing both kicker and fi.

it doesnt matter as long as its not restricting airflow to the vent or other subs. I would say 1/4".

an old rule i heard for daily type boxes is to keep the sub at least as far as the port is wide from the back wall

like a 4 inch slot port sub at least 4 inches off the backwall.

i think 3-5 inches in any setup is about as close as i would want to be

It's all in the box.
