I bought this stuff at home depot called 'Peel'n'stick' which is VERY similar to dynamat or V-block and is so cheap its not funny. It works too.10"X100' and it costs about$30.00us.

Is there any lingering oudor from it?

Other than that, if it wasn't quite as effective, for that price, you could use multiple layers.

There is very little odour from it even though it is tar-based. When applying you should use a heat gun just like you would with Dyna-mat.Yes, you could use multiple layers too!
