Has anyone out there heard the Focal 165 V3. These are the 3-way set out of the Polyglass Line. I'm thinking about upgrading most of my front end. I would really like to have the 165 W3's but they are out of my price range.

Thanks

Audiophyle - Have you had the opportunity to listen to these? I'm really curious.

I have had the oppurtunity to listen to these drivers. They do kick some serious butt, however, for the money, they are a bit overpriced. If your looking for a really high end system, go to Ebay and search for a/d/s/ and see if you can find a 320is or 325is component set. You should be able to get either of these pretty cheap on Ebay, and they make this Focal set sound like a transistor radio speaker. Just my .02 cents... Nothing against Focal, I used to run a set of the 5Kx subs in my front doors. I just havn't heard a better sounding component set than the a/d/s/.

STILL waiting to hear a GOOD pair of HLCD's!!

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...

Being a fan of Focal speakers I must however say that only Polykevlar cones makes Focal sound Focal! Take a look at Polykevlar range.
And listen to them carefully. You either love or hate them, not in between!
