I'd planned on using a Symmetry with an EQ card but I'm wondering if there's are any other units that would do both jobs as well or better? I'll probably still go with a Symmetry if there isn't anything else in the same price range that can do the job, but I'd like to look at my options before I commit to the RF. I don't want to spend too much, so something I could find used for around $400 or less would be good.
I'd like to use one unit for crossover and EQ to keep things simple and I like the RDAT on the Symmetry, I'd like something that is controllable from the driver's seat. I'd also prefer to not use anything that needs chips to change the crossover frequencies like some Audio Controls. The saveable curves and stuff on the Symmetry is also something I'd like. I might have room in-dash for a DIN size unit or a smaller unit. Otherwise, I can mount a faceplate control piece in the center console or somewhere.
If there's anything else that fits those criteria and would be worth looking into, let me know, otherwise I'll have to wait around for a Symmetry to come up again.
Also, how much would you pay for a used EPX2 with the 28 band EQ card? How about with the 14?
Thanks for any advice.

Well, I just bought a Symmetry with the 28 band EQ so I guess I don't need to know anymore. I think the EPX2 really fit my needs almost perfectly, so I'm happy.

You should be hapy with it. I have been using one for 4 years. They don't make them anymore so better get on ebay and get a spare eq card. I had mine fail at the Ohio regional this year. For convenience they can't be beat but there are some better ones for a price.

Yeah, I'm sure there is better out there for more money, but I can't spend too much and I think the flexibility and convenience of the Symmetry is a big plus.

Kind of hard to look into something that doesn't exist.
