Hi, I need to buy new subs and will appreciate an advise on which should I choose.
My first and the only goal is Sound Quality.
Having looked around I choose 5 types (brands) that I would like to have. They are off different price categories but all very high quality. I will appreciate if you, guys, will help me to choose among them preferably motivating the oppinion.
The choise might seem obvious when considering Velodyne but I have been told by the people who used them that the sub works fantastic when the car is in the parking lot but looses all bass when the car moves. Another point is that is its price really equals its quality?
The amp that is going to power them is Butler Tube Driver 1500 (2x150 W RMS @4 Ohms, 12V. The car is a mid sized hatchback.
Thank you very much.
Fred

People have had that misconception of the Velodyne woofer since it's car audio birth. They think that because of the accelerometer, and the movement of the car, it would overcompensate for the car movement. However, since it only compares the input signal to the output signal, motion of the car it's self is non-existant to the sub system, and therefore, not a factor. However, since the Velodyne does have a little less output than a typical woofer, and since most road noise is in the same region that the subs operates in, it does get drowned out pretty easily.

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...
