My friend and i are having an argument on which subs he should get. He will have 2 of them 12" with a PPI 1800 to power them. Personally i think he should get the IDQ, but he says he wants the perfects "cause they don't distort". he has a 1992 Honda Prelude, he listens to all music but mostly rap and R&B.

I think you friend is nuts. I believe, of the 2 mentioned, the ID's are going to sound the best by far. I still have not heard an Infinity that really sounds good. They used to make a 6.5" coax that was pretty wicked, but that is about the extent of they're "Really" good sounding stuff. JMHO of course!
