Tech Man has been tearing up the USAC circuit with his ride, using all RF components. I personally dont like the way they sound, but they're not bad.

Please explain why you do not like the way they sound. Do you do lots of SQ tests on different brands?

DarkAcura I feel I should point something out, keep in mind this is "my taste and opinion".
Certain amplifiers do certain things better then others, and each BRAND sounds different with each brand of speaker, in each brand of different vehicle.
I find that Subwoofers sound best with high current amplifiers such as RF. Yet I find that high current amplifiers sound harsh on the upper range, such as mid-range and treble. I also find that although high current amplifiers typically have a "shallow" low end but make up for it with speed in attack.
I find that Voltage driven amplifiers sound best for mid-range and treble, have very accurate bass, but lack the attack and presence in the sub-bass.
It's a good idea to mix brands of amplifiers and speakers, since NO ONE COMPANY MAKES EVERYTHING PERFECTLY.

I agree...Like I said in a another post in this SQ part of the forum. What sounds good to one might not to another. Take a listen and get what YOU like....

I feel RF is on the higher part of the
scale for SQ. By no means are they the
best SQ amp out there but when you combine
their SQ, power and reliability you get a
good combination. Mac, soundstream (ick)
xtant and a very few others will out SQ
RF.

And just because I dont like the way they sound doesn't mean they dont sound really great! I never meant that they didn't sound good....
