Hi there everyone. I have a few other posts here about using Horns but I was at Db Drag finals and was looking at a few other companys that was there and getting some opinions. Well I want opinions from those here on this brand....Audiobahn. They stuff looks pretty damn good and dont sound half bad. Also at full retail it is VERY low compared to what I was going to go with.

Well in SQ the install means more then the product at times. So this product looks good and will show off in a SQ install quite well I think. So if that is inline what about the rest? Those that take the time to read this good stuff or bad? ALSO please take the time to let me know y you think it is good or bad. Thanks.

BTW I was looking at the subs amps and also mids. And possible sell my EQT's and use their 30 band. SO any and all responses are welcome.

I have heard they're aluminum subs, and they are indeed VERY smooth, and play quite low. I would be making a call to the tech support lines and see if they have changed they're procedure for securing the motor assembly to the cone however, they were having some problems with separation of the two. Electronics wise, they work quite well, and for a 1/3 octave eq are quite inexpensive. I think I'd use different amps for Sq however, theirs arent' the cleanest out there. For spl, they'd be fine though. Hope this answers questions.

I just bought a pair of Audiobahn tweeters for one of my vehicles. They replaced a damaged pair from an older JL componant set. Overall, I'm rather pleased with them. They aren't the smoothest and they are a little harsh, but a little EQ solved most of the problems. On the value side, the next best tweeter I have heard costs 3 times as much (I got my Audiobahns for $42). The truck that they reside in is not my primary vehicle and it has a simple system made up of older, left over equiptment, so the Audiobahn tweeters worked out beautifully for me.

I have heard good things about their amps, but many feel that they are a bit below brands like PPI, Xtant, etc... in sound quality and power. As for the EQTs, I say keep 'em. They have a proven track record.

Hope this helps!

Well audiophyle. Thanks for the response. The only one of the line that I have heard is the non alum cone ones. They were VERY nice. HCCAINTETGRA that posts on this forum has a single HCCA 12 in his car...Well then he got ahold of a 12 from audiobahn..droped it in the box that was made for the HCCA and DAMN...the audiobahn sounded GREAT. and at a cost at full retail being HALF that of the HCCA I was VERY VERY impressed. Seeing that I am going to pay retail for my stuff so I dont have to move up in class cost is a factor. Thanks for the response...

Pooch...Also thanks for the response. I have heard the same thing about the tweets. I was told the mids are not bad and with a good install (like most stuff) will work fine but that they tweets are a bit harsh. I will try and work with this for now and see what I can do. If all that I try dont work I will change out tweets.

And I was thinking about the EQT"s like that also. They are for sure proven but just for matching sake I was going to change. I might just end up keeping the EQT's and see what happens.

ANYONE. About the amps. Well I plan on having more then enough power. So I can keep reasonable and not get close to maxing then out and causing distortion that way. Hell I think I will take the chance and hope to god it is good enough. I also might hold off on the amps till after I can get a better listen to a system with them amps in it. I seen the stuff at Db Drag finals and but didnt get a good listen. I have heard the subs and a coax the make but not the amps....

PA: your in St.Louis right? If you are, go out to arnold, mo., and talk to my buddy Brian at Sound Ideas. He carries Audiobahn. In fact, I think he's having an Audiobahn sale this weekend. He's having they're demo van and everything. He's on Jeffco, south of the walmart, across the street from the fire house. 296-9980. Tell him I sent you, and he'll charge you double price!!
