I am looking for a HO alt that is clean. I know that quite a few add to the engine noise and what not. Anyone out there know of one that is not as bad as the rest? I am looking to buy one in about a month or so from now..

Ohio generator. You should also be able to find a alt. from a wrecking yard, high output factory from a truck with a towing package. Factory alts are generally pretty quiet. If you cant find a quiet one, a large cap used as a filter should work.
