Im looking to posibly put a 5.1 surround sound for a display inthe back of my competition van. trying to decide what I all want to use, and have it sound decent. As of right now thinking two pair of 6.5's for front stage pair 6.5 for center and pair 6.5's for rear. and amp for each set channel fronts center and rear. going to raise the floor up for storage and debating on doing sealed or ported box? thinking two 12's or tens. all 6.5s are coaxle for pricing reasons. BUt i dont know if i will find the low midrange -midbass that im looking for out of the coaxles, add set of 8's or just a set of 6" drivers? or the company im thinking bout makes a 3 way 6x9 that does awsome midbass-midrange. 6.5's look so much cleaner but i have plenty of room in the back where i can hide allmost everything. to keep the clean look

basicly im unlimited on space for front stage. not looking to dump insane amount into this but still have to spend some to get good sound. just debating on what to put in for front stage especialy for the mid bass n midrange 6.5's,6x9's, 8's , or 10's. Just never ahd this mutch space to have to put anythign.
Basicly front stage is going to be by back doors. so front stage is going to be on c pilliars from ceiling to floor and since the floor is going to built up might make the center chanel pop up from the floor similar to a stage speaker or from ceiling, the rears will be behind the seating. And a 22" screen on custom drop dwn.

I saw a system similar to this in a Suburban, essentially creating a limo style effect when entering the rear doors. 2nd row of seats gone and just kept the 3rd row. Built a wall from floor to ceiling just behind the driver's and passenger's seats. This wall held 2 sets of 5.25 components, one set handled left and right front, while the other set doubled up and made up the center channel. A third set of comps handled rear surround.
The wall had a nice sized flat screen mounted to it and a set of 10 inch subs behind the 3rd row. It had a Kenwood DVD flip out w/ nav up front and had a DVD/CD head unit in the rear. There was also a PS2 in the back and a CarPC had been integrated and placed under the 3rd row of seats. Very nice and caught me off guard when I saw it.
I would think you would want all your front speakers facing you as much as possible though.
