i drive a single cab dodge ram 1500... i just installed a pair of blackmore 6.5" components in the doors and would like to add either another pair of blackmore 6.5 components or their 5.25 components in the kick panels... some say my sound will be off and smothered, some say my imagery and output would be on point...
so far i have heard leave the 6.5 mid in the doors and use the 5.25's /6.5's mid and tweets in kick panels... im thinkin this might be the best way to go...

Generally, the less speakers you have playing the same frequencies the easier tuning will be...including imaging
That doesn't mean it won't work due to some sort of anomoly in your case...I just wouldn't bother if SQ is your goal, better off just doing a 3-way as already mentioned.

thanks for the replies. sq is definetly my goal, so i guess i'll peak my head into the component market again. I like the sq of these components, they just dont get as loud as i would like... power handling is 60wRMS and i have them crossed over @ 75hz giving them 100wRMS...
so if i were to leave the 6.5 woofer in the doors and remove the tweets, then have another set of 6.5 components (with woofer and tweet), that would be worth it?

You would need a 3 way crossover so the midbass is only getting midbass, the mid-mid and the tweet-tweet Posts: 2276 | From: East | Registered: Jan 2003

And of course a crossover that is set to the correct frequencies.
If you have the channels for it, go active. Should defiently make tuning a lot easier.
