I'm not sure about the Adire subs, but I wouln't tune a DD to 25hz! on that model I belive the Fs is 30, so that is the lowest I'd go for box tuning. I've tryed tuning DD's lower than 30hz. It dosn't work, Id keep them tuned around 32hz-35hz they still get low with cabin gain. For SQ/SPL in an SUV Id put them in 3.75ft each tuned to 35 thats where I've found them to perform the best all-round. If you go more than 5.5ft each they are not as tight but may play a bit lower with the same tuning. That's my preference for DD 15's.

yeah i was just looking at the dd'd fs and saw that.. the adire tumult's fs is 19hz.. so that one would tune great around 25hz.. and yeah 33hz or so would be good for the DD.. wish i could hear em both before i got em lol ..

I think it really depends on what you are doing with the subs. If I wanted something that gave me pretty flat in car response from 25-70 Hz, had good sensitivity, and would take a major beating, I'd probably grab the DDs and run them in the enclosure Jamie suggested. On the other hand, if I crossed the sub over at 30-40 Hz and wanted to sweep some major air in the 10-25 Hz region, I'd probably grab the Tumults and put it in a large sealed or IB install. Judging by your comments, I'd probably reccomend the DDs.

Not that I'm siding with either driver...but the brahma will do everything you just mentioned for the DD but with slightly less rated efficientcy and much more potential displacement

it does cost around $75-100 more IIRC

Go sealed if you want a flat response!
