I posted in Advanced topics and Signal Processing but I wanted to post here too because I trust the feedback I get in this section a great deal!

What I'm thinking of here is to modify a passive crossover unit so it has an output like the Diamond Audio Hex/M5 crossover's Rear Acoustic Fill feature...that one is attenuated 10db I believe, which is essentially sticking an L-pad inline there I believe, not that big of a deal...

What I don't get with the Diamond's is what power does that rear fill speaker have? Anyone have any experience with this, or guesses? My understanding of electricity and circuits does not extend that far.

Any ideas on how hard and/or what's involved in modifying something like this? Is it even possible or would you need a completely new circuit board in the crossover? Mine are a/d/s/ 3-series and are already biamp-able, if that makes a difference.
