Hey guys, I just got a new car, it's a Trans Am 1995. I looking to install a system in it, here's what I have right now from my older car:

Premier DEX-P1R
Phoenix Gold MS1000 amp
Image Dynamics CD2Comp minihorns
Orion 8MB (pair of 8inch midbass).
All the wiring, fuse distro, etc...

I want to keep the Premier deck, the PG amp, the horns, but not the Orion midbass, because I don't want to rebuild the door panel. I want to use the stock speaker's location, which I think can hold a 6inch driver. There's also a room at the back close to the back seats, that can hold a 6.5inch driver too. I'd like to use 2 of the PG channels to power the 4 speakers (4x6.5 inch), in parralle to get a 2ohms load. The amp will push 500 watts rms per channel, so I need two pairs of really good 6.5 inch speakers, with a lot of ouput capabilities...so which one do you recommend? I heard the Chameleon 6.5 and I wasn't impressed with them...

The two last channels of the PG amp will power the horns.

I'm lloking for another MS1000 amp or MS2250 to power the subs. I'm thinking of a pair of 12inch, and I heard the IDMax, and I was impressed by this sub, so I might go with them, but is it better a pair of IDMax with 500 watts rms on each or just one with 1000 watts rms on it?

Thanks alot.

If you want a great 6.5" midrange/midbass driver, I'd look into the DDW6.5, as they can do both excellently.

hey david whats up. well for the front stage i would look into maybe some bostons 6.5 drivers,to go along with some of the others mentioned, the bostons sound very good. also the power on the max i think 2 with 500 on each would be better than 1 with 1000. i think they will be reciving a little more than 500each though off that monster amp. have you looked at the brahma's? i think i would take them over the max. well good luck with your install.
