Hi everyone!

Looking for the best SQ possible I have created myself a problem that can not solve myself. So please help if anyone has a solution for it.

I have a 3 way active front and a sub.
The front speakers all have different path length and thus time correction is applied.
Processor is Alpine PXA-H600.
It has one stereo input and three stereo outputs all having independent time correction.
So first pair of outputs - tweeters, second - midranges, third - midbasses.
The sub goes without T/A but all other speakers are delayed.
Alpine processor gets the signal from the first pair of RCAs off the head unit, the sub - from the second pair.
Alpine has no bypass, no line out.
According to Alpine's manual the system's master volume shall be adjusted with Alpine processor's controller while head unit's volume is set constantly to match Alpine's input level.

So the problem is : How to adjust the system's master volume?
It seems like I will have to adjust sub's and front's volume separately!
I thought about Audiocontrol MVC but it has only 3 lines in and 3 out while I need 4!

Any ideas?

PS Please do not propose anything like "get rid of 3 way front, use 2-way!"

Unfortunately, my recommendation is very similar: toss the alignment piece! It's a piece of crap (sorry to say) and I've never had anyone who used one be impressed with the results.
Heck, Rich Coe, the main designer behind that unit's predecessor, doesn't even like to own up to it! THe idea is good but the reality is bad.
Careful speaker placement will always beat out processing!

And that's the bottom line, cuz:
LORD DUKK SAYS SO!

The Dukk says: Know your bass: PORT your damn box!!

Sorry to say, guys, but I am afraid none of you have ever tried this processor!
I used to be of same oppinion that any additional sound processing would just kill the sound. After I have tried it myself I won't believe it whoever tells me that.
Its like the spectacles for the ears! No speaker location in the car will make the same job (untill the car is McLaren F1 with the driver's seat in the middle).

So I'm gonna use the Alpine's processor. But I need technical help!

The question is: How could I controll the volume of four independent stereo channels with one knob?

If you have any thoughts please let me know!
I will appreciate any input.
Thanks.

Best regards,
Fred

If I were you, and I wanted that processor (I wouldn't, but I'm not you!) I'd just go ahead and set your midbass output down to below 20Hz, then use a passive on the individual speakers or a harrison highpass F-mod on the input to your midbass amp. Problem solved. By the way, that Alpine piece is nice, however, im my opinion, NO DSP can ever do music justice. I dont even like THX for home theatre, you can ALWAYS hear the damn thing steering the image however it wants to. Also, as Dukk said, there is no replacement for proper speaker placement.

STILL waiting to hear a GOOD pair of HLCD's!!

If it dont fit, force it... if it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway...
