well my power supply cord took a dump on me got a new one and it's not getting the power it needs. the one i replaced was a radio shack 12v 500ma and the new one is the same. have I had the wrong one all along? so I need to know the specs on original supply thanx

If your meter came with a Radio Shack power supply then it is the wrong transformer. The correct transformer actually puts out 18 VDC with no load. The white interface box requires 14+ VDC in order for the voltage regulators to work properly. If you use 12 volts, the system could be affected by voltage fluctuations on the AC line. This is especially true when using a long extension cord.

yup i bought it used but it worked fine until the wire cracked at the power supply. well thanx for the info
